Servn' 3 Easy Holistic Ways

To Heal & Lift Your Spirit

An article from Margie “The Arthritis Lady”, written years ago, sparked a fact that is well stated; a terrible superstition holds people of all walks and ways of life in its grip. Clinched tightly in this terrible superstition are many that some of us choose to honor, respect and trust with great significance; including renowned, brilliant scientists, religious preachers and teachers, physicians (especially, physicians) and University professors. While no one gets left behind by class or title, middle class and working-class people, those of all nationalities, the doorman, the grocer, the plumber, you, me, him, her, are all its victims.

What is the gripping superstition that has many in the world victimized?

It is the quite absurd belief that diseases, illness and dysfunction are “cured” by pharmaceutical drugs, prescription and over the counter medicines. These methods have been credited with the establishment and maintenance of optimum health and health care for ages. Fortunately, many of us that were once clinched in the grip of the superstition have actually taken the efforts to investigate, in an unprejudiced manner, this dreadful belief. There are now millions breaking free of the grip to rebel against what some may view as atrocities suffered as a consequence of this superstition. It is time to lift our spirit and self-heal.

With great knowledge comes amazing wisdom. This newly found freedom has revealed, a much deserved, truth. Exercising and maintaining optimistic and blissful thoughts while consuming food that nourishes the body, breathing nice, clean air, drinking pure water and establishing an exercise regimen (no matter how small), is what allows the enjoyment of great health.  Proper nutrition fed to the human cells allows the immune system to rebuild the body, preventing and curing itself with itself. That self-care and self-healing allows the immune system; and therefore us, to be as Source Creator gifted and made to be; strong and powerful. With that, enjoying complete freedom from illnesses along with any outrageous superstition. If you can use some healing after many days, months, years or decades of pain and suffering despite conventional healing methods, then here are 3 Easy & Effective Ways to Self-Heal and Lift Your Spirit! I use them all regularly!

NUMBER 1

Meditation, Meditation, Meditation

Although these methods aren’t in any particular order, this method is one of the most, if not THEE, most recommended and effective way to heal and feel better bout thy self. And, aside of a small (but the best) investment of your time, it is FREE! Meditation is great for many discomforts, pains, ailments, illnesses and disorders. According to healthline.com, through a series of studies, meditation has been found to:

* Reduce Stress

* Control Anxiety

* Promote Emotional Health

* Reduce Age-Related
Memory Loss

* Help Fight Addictions

* Improve Sleep

* Decrease Blood Pressure

* Control Pain

* Enhance Self-Awareness

Lengthening attention span and generating kindness were also listed. Wouldn’t having freedom from the mentioned conditions lift your spirit? To read more about meditation benefits according to research studies, take a look at the article by Health Line titled, “12 Scientific-Based Benefits of Meditation”. https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/12-benefits-of-meditation

During meditation you are allowing a reconnect with the higher aspect of yourself, which is completely happy, healthy, at ease, all knowing, courageous, strong, abundant and powerful. Just imagine completely ridding depression and insomnia, money woes and thoughts of suicide with the use of your own free will and power of your mind. You’ll find just how powerful the mind is once it connects with spirit, body and soul to greatly improve psychological and physical functions.

How to Do It? Meditation is a habitual practice of mind and body that can be accomplished using several different methods in which you choose which resonates best with you. Some methods include mindfulness, spiritual, focused, movement and mantra meditation. Don’t fret. Just take it slow and one moment at a time. The internet is filled with methods for beginners. And there is no real way to do it “wrong”.

Have you ever been sitting in your favorite chair, staring out the window and just thought of nothing? Do you ever listen to your favorite melody and it just takes you away? You were practicing forms of meditation without even trying. And even the moment of enjoying a nice hot cup of tea, our favorite, (coffee too) can put you into a meditative state. It is a time to just be.

 Simply create a time and space free or few of distractions. During meditation allow any distracting thoughts to come without irritation nor judging them or yourself. Have a comfortable posture (lying, standing or sitting) and focus. Either focus on nothing, a word/phrase or object and your breathing. Start for just a few short minutes and pick it up over time. Some things you just have to try for yourself. Meditation music is great too!

NUMBER 2

Aromatherapy and Essential Oils

An aromatherapy oil burner can be amazing relief and aid in rebalancing and rejuvenating your spirit through blending a selection of essential oils. The following blend is recommended and works extremely well when there’s a need for nurturing, support and healing:

Approximately an hour before retiring to bed place a few drops of the following in an aromatherapy oil burner with some water (please stay safe and extinguish the flame before bed):

* 4 drops Jasmine

* 4 drops Rose

* 4 drops Neroli

* 3 drops Lavender

* 3 drops Bergamot

This blend not only offers a divine scent, but allows you to sleep well, diminish anxiety and stress, and relieve tension for great rejuvenation the following morning! For a small bedroom, it’s better to use half the quantity of drops.

NUMBER 3

Acupressure and Acupuncture

Meditation and essential oils are holistic methods that are really great for lifting your spirit and healing inside out. One of the oldest healing methods and the basic foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, originated in China thousands of years ago. The practice is based on the belief that there are two opposing and inseparable forces within the human body known as the Yin and Yang of the person as a whole. Maintaining a balance state of the Yin and Yang is done through vital pathways or meridians. These meridians/pathways allow the flow of Qi, or vital life force energy, and connect over 2,000 acupuncture points along the body.

Although acupuncture calls for tiny metallic needles or electric stimulation, acupressure, like acupuncture, is a holistic way of healing that can be done anywhere without any special equipment.

Following the guidelines of a professional acupressure practitioner, you can treat yourself safely with acupressure. Acupressure should be applied slowly and gently. Applying it too quickly or vigorously can do some damage, especially in the abdominal area. In addition, special care and caution should be taken in the case of pregnant women or in treating a person with burns, infections and recent injuries.

An amazing acupressure technique that I personally use is EFT tapping. Research this technique as it is an easy method for beginners to incorporate acupressure for themselves. When performed correctly, acupressure increases circulation, reduces tension and pain and enables the body to relax. It is actually more effective than physical therapy for the majority of patients with low back pain. It has also been known to and for:

– Reduce post-operative nausea and vomiting in children.

– Reduce nausea in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.

– Reduce fear and anxiety in trauma victims and in pre-operative care

– Strengthen the immune system and promotes wellness

– Colds, Flu, Sore throat, Sinus Infection, Loss of Voice

– Improve Memory and Concentration

– Allergies

– Treat/Heal Angina, Heart Palpitations, High Blood Pressure

– Constipation, Diarrhea, Heartburn and Stomachache

– PMS/Painful Periods, Hot Flashes, Pregnancy Discomfort

– Bed-wetting, Incontinence, Urinary retention

– Nose bleeding, Itching, Asthma, Decreased Libido, Hangover

This is really just a short list, yes, short list, of the beneficial qualities of acupuncture/acupressure. Due diligence is key when researching into topics of health and to consult a trusted physician. Look into this further, especially since we have many more articles coming dedicated to different targeted conditions that can be healed or controlled with the use of acupuncture/acupressure. Several studies conducted by western medical facilities have proven that these Traditional Chinese Medicine methods really work!

Headaches and Muscle or Joint Pain

There are many points in the human hand that can be penetrated as a practice of acupressure. For headaches, muscle or joint pain:  Press the fleshy part of your hand between your thumb and index finger. Hold this for one minute, then repeat on the other hand.

For Low-back Pain

While lying on your back, elevate your feet on a sofa or chair. Place two tennis balls under your lower back on either side of your spine. Stay in this position for one minute. If it becomes uncomfortable, stay in the position for less time.

For Knee Pain

Put a tennis ball on a pillow, then place your leg over it so the ball is pushing into the crease behind your knee. Find the sensitive spot just below your kneecap and slightly to the outside of the shinbone. Press into it gently with your fingertips for about one minute.

These holistic healing methods are great for all things mentioned. Allow a reconnect with yourself using one or all of these techniques to practice optimum self-healing, self-care and natural disease and illness prevention. Although these are methods personally effective, consult your trusted physician before starting or trying any new method associated with health care. Choose these and other methods at your own discretion and trust yourself ahead of any other source when it comes to your healing.
